Muse Café & Art / Ubud guide
UBUD · BALI · A GUIDE FROM MUSE
Find a place for the kind of day—or evening—you have in mind. Coffee, brunch, a meal to share, a glass of wine or a night shaped around music.
Published by Muse Café & Art. This researched guide includes our own café alongside six other Ubud venues. Choices are grouped by occasion, not ranked. Venue details were checked against official websites on 16 October 2026; follow the links for current menus and programmes.
Seniman: Indonesian coffee on Sri Wedari.
Suka: coffee and brunch in Pengosekan.
Muse: breakfast dosa from 8 AM.
Hujan Locale: modern Indonesian sharing dishes.
Muse: Indian, Middle Eastern and Mediterranean food, with wine in the garden.
Night Rooster: local-ingredient cocktails on Goutama Selatan.
Pinstripe: a planned outing to Petulu.
Bali Bohemia: check the current programme beside Monkey Forest and plan around the event.
DAYTIME
SRI WEDARI
Indonesian coffee & brewing
Choose Seniman when coffee is the reason for the stop. Its Ubud venue focuses on Indonesian origins and offers espresso and filter brewing, giving you a way to explore different coffees without building the outing around a full meal.
Before you go: check the current coffee selection and any workshop arrangements directly with the venue.
PENGOSEKAN
Coffee & brunch
Suka gives this guide a daytime option in Pengosekan. Its café-and-restaurant offering brings specialty coffee and brunch together, making it a useful choice when you want a meal as well as a coffee stop.
Before you go: use the current Suka Ubud page for the menu and service hours, particularly if you are planning a later visit.
FROM BREAKFAST TO EVENING
SRI WEDARI · OUR OWN CAFÉ AND GARDEN BAR
Breakfast dosa, dinner & wine by the glass
At Muse, start with a breakfast dosa and coffee, or settle in for Indian, Middle Eastern and Mediterranean dishes among plants and paintings. Our rooftop garden bar pours wine by the glass with Coravin and serves cocktails. Champagne is available by the bottle, and vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options are marked on the menu.
Plan your visit: we open daily from 8 AM to 10 PM; the kitchen closes at 9:15 PM. Muse suits breakfast, dinner and an early evening over wine.
SRI WEDARI
Modern Indonesian dishes to share
Hujan Locale offers another dinner direction on Sri Wedari: regional Indonesian flavours interpreted through modern cooking, with dishes intended for sharing. Choose it when exploring Indonesian food is the centre of the evening.
Before you go: check the current menu, service hours and age policy with the restaurant when booking.
AFTER DARK
GOUTAMA SELATAN
A dedicated cocktail stop
For a cocktail-focused outing, Night Rooster draws on local ingredients, house-made preparations and Indonesian folk tales. The bar is part of the Locavore family and offers a different focus from a café or a full dinner destination.
Before you go: check the current cocktail menu and opening information. Plan around the drinks you want to explore, rather than assuming a music programme.
PETULU
Cocktails in a 1930s-inspired setting
Pinstripe combines a 1930s-inspired interior with cocktails and views towards rice fields and greenery. Its Petulu location makes it a separate destination to plan for, rather than another stop on the central Goutama street.
Before you go: check reservations and the current dress guidance, and arrange how you will get there and back.
CHECK WHAT’S ON
BESIDE MONKEY FOREST
Art, food & music programming
Bali Bohemia brings an art-filled setting, Eastern Mediterranean-inspired food and performance programming to the edge of Monkey Forest. It is the music-led option in this selection: choose the programme first, then build your evening around it.
Before you go: confirm the current event, start time and any booking arrangements. An open-mic listing is not a guarantee that a particular performer will be appearing.
Choose Seniman if you want to explore coffee, or Suka if brunch is part of the plan. Pick the area that fits the rest of your day; there is no need to cross town to tick off every café.
Consider Hujan Locale for an Indonesian meal, then Night Rooster for a cocktail-focused second stop. Check both venues’ current availability and plan the journey between them.
Start with Bali Bohemia’s programme. Confirm what is on and when it begins, then decide whether to eat there or nearby before the performance.
Service times, event programmes and booking arrangements can change. Check the linked venue information before heading out, especially for a particular show or a later meal. For dietary requirements, speak to the venue directly. Use current maps for your route and allow for traffic; this guide does not assume every stop is walkable.
